Exabotix develops advanced UAV systems and ground infrastructure for autonomous flight operations. At the DLR National Test Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Cochstedt and at our development site in Bad Lauterberg, we are working on fully autonomous solutions for takeoff, landing, and power supply – the so-called DRONEPORT – as well as on the development of our own UAV systems. Our technologies are used particularly in the area of critical infrastructure, where they make a significant contribution to safety and aerial surveillance.
Become part of our team and design systems that function without human intervention – from development and prototyping to practical testing on the test site.
Your tasks:
- Development and programming of software components for our autonomous drone systems
- Contributing to the further development of our droneport and system infrastructure
- Conception, development and maintenance of backend systems and connected services
- Development and maintenance of interfaces and APIs (e.g., REST, WebSockets, MQTT)
- Processing, analysis and presentation of system and sensor data (e.g. from databases)
- Use of modern technologies such as Docker for scaling and maintainability of the systems
- Analysis, maintenance and optimization of server, network and database structures
- Contributing to security-related topics such as network security and data protection.
- Support in the further development of our firmware and system landscape (e.g. Ardupilot)
- Collaboration in agile projects (e.g. Scrum)
Your profile:
- Completed studies in computer science or comparable qualification
- Excellent knowledge of Python as well as good knowledge of Go, C or C++
- Experience in backend development and working with APIs
- Knowledge of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Linux, Docker, or cloud technologies is an advantage.
- Structured, independent and reliable work ethic
- Interest in modern technologies, robotics and autonomous systems
We offer:
