HELIOS Multicopter

Precision from the air.

Designed for pinpoint inspections in confined spaces – robust, autonomous, and fully integrable into the Exabotix system.

Advantages of HELIOS Multicopier

The HELIOS is a compact and powerful multicopter optimized for inspection flights in structured, sensitive, and difficult-to-access areas. With high flight stability, precise position-holding, and modular sensor technology, it is ideal for recurring inspections of utility poles, industrial facilities, building structures, and more. When used with the DRONEPORT, the HELIOS operates completely autonomously – from takeoff to landing. Its intelligent flight control enables precise spot flights even in challenging weather conditions.

Precise & stable

The HELIOS remains stable in position even in crosswinds – ideal for close-up shots and precise measurements.

Long flight time

Efficient propulsion and optimized weight enable flight times of up to 40 minutes – depending on the payload and mission profile.

Seamlessly integrated

The HELIOS is fully compatible with the DRONEPORT and Exabotix software – for true end-to-end automation.

Areas of application

The HELIOS is specifically designed for precise close-range inspections. It is ideal for recurring visual inspections of pipelines, substations, industrial facilities, and buildings – wherever safety, accuracy, and efficiency are required.

Frequently Asked Questions Questions to the HELIOS multicopter.

How wind-stable is the HELIOS?

The HELIOS was developed for use in real-world conditions and flies stably in wind speeds of up to 12 m/s. Thanks to precise attitude control and intelligent sensors, it remains controllable even in strong gusts – ideal for use in open areas or exposed locations.

Depending on the payload and mission profile, the HELIOS achieves flight times of up to 40 minutes. The energy-efficient propulsion unit, combined with optimized weight, ensures a long operational endurance and reduces recharge cycles—particularly important for recurring missions.

No, the HELIOS can also be operated independently—manually or with alternative ground stations. However, for automated inspections in continuous operation, we recommend using it with the DRONEPORT, as it fully automates takeoff, landing, loading, and data management.

The HELIOS is compatible with various gimbal systems such as Gremsy and supports a wide range of cameras and sensors – including high-resolution RGB cameras, thermal cameras, and multispectral sensors. This allows the drone to be flexibly adapted to your specific requirements.
