Critical infrastructure

How does the DRONEPORT work in heavy rain or snow?

The DRONEPORT is designed for year-round outdoor use. The weatherproof housing reliably protects the technology from rain, snow, and cold. The drone is stored in an air-conditioned interior and only launches automatically when flight conditions are stable. All relevant weather data is checked before each flight.

The systems are designed for long-term operation. Maintenance intervals depend on the frequency of use and the environment; we generally recommend a technical inspection every 6 to 12 months. We optionally offer a full-service package including remote monitoring, maintenance, and incident management.

All data connections are encrypted (TLS/SSL). The DRONEPORT communicates via 5G, LTE, or LAN and can optionally be operated offline. Data processing is carried out in compliance with GDPR and NDAA regulations on European servers – without cloud connections to third countries.

For autonomous operation—especially for BVLOS flights—an operating license is required in accordance with the EU Drone Regulation. We support you in the application process and provide all necessary technical documentation. In many cases, a system setup suitable for approval is already in place.
